Electric Commercial Vehicle Solutions

Our Mission

Displacing Diesel With Electric

ECVS exists to replace diesel-powered heavy commercial vehicles and equipment with electric alternatives that work commercially, operationally, and systemically.

We operate at the boundary between vehicles, energy, control and operations. We bridge the fragmented silos that keep the industry from moving. Our approach reduces risk for operators by handling the complexity of electrification, so the transition from diesel makes commercial sense from day one.

Our Vision

Electric - The Obvious Choice

A future where electric is the obvious choice for heavy commercial transport and equipment because it's better: lower total cost, higher reliability, less operational complexity.

We see a market where industry chooses electric because it makes commercial sense, and where New Zealand leads in practical, proven electric solutions.

We all grew up with carburetors, fuel injection, turbos and muffler deletes. Petrol and diesel run through our veins. But every major powertrain shift in history follows the same pattern. A better technology arrives, the industry resists, then it moves all at once. The electric machine is superior to internal combustion in almost every measurable way. We have spent 14 years getting ready for this shift, and we are solving the last remaining roadblocks.

What We Believe

The principles behind how we work

System-level thinking wins

Optimising vehicles, energy and operations together beats optimising any single component in isolation.

Risk reduction is the value

Customers fear downtime, stranded assets and finger-pointing more than technology change itself.

Trust compounds

In a market damaged by over-promising, conservative claims and reliable delivery matter more than marketing.

Local constraints matter

New Zealand's operating realities are design inputs, not edge cases. Solutions must work here, not just in theory.

Execution beats vision

Ideas are cheap. Delivery is what counts. We measure progress by what is in the field, not what is on paper.

Fit for purpose

We choose fit-for-purpose over best-in-class. Serviceability is a first-class requirement, not an afterthought.

What We Do

Systems Integration

Translate

Between engineering, operations, energy and capital so decisions get made and projects move forward.

Integrate

Vehicles, energy and operations into solutions that work as a whole. No finger-pointing between suppliers. One point of accountability.

De-risk

Electrification for customers who cannot afford downtime, stranded assets, or failed deployments. Each step delivers measurable savings.

Deliver

Outcomes that stand on their own economics. Lower fuel costs, reduced maintenance, and performance that justifies the investment without subsidies.

What We're Working On
