Our Values
ECVS exists to displace diesel from heavy commercial transport and equipment. How and why we do it matters as much as the technology we deliver.
In Aotearoa New Zealand
Shared Ground
ECVS is based in Ashhurst, at the foot of the Tararua and Ruahine Ranges - The Te Āpiti, Te Rere Hau and Turitea wind farms surround us. The values described on this page are universal, but they have particular resonance here.
The responsibility of guardianship and active care for the natural environment runs deep here. It is an obligation to hand the land, water, and resources to the next generation in better condition than they were received. This principle is embedded in New Zealand culture and in the way many iwi enterprises approach business and investment. A clean renewable electricity grid, strong regional enterprise, and a culture that values practical solutions over hype make New Zealand good ground for building an electrified future.
What We Leave Behind
Intergenerational Thinking
The decisions we make today shape what the next generation inherits. Infrastructure lasts decades. Energy systems outlive the people who design them. This is why ECVS focuses on durable solutions rather than short-term fixes. Every system we design is built to serve the people who will use it long after we have moved on.
Energy Independence
Regional Resilience
Dependence on imported fuel creates risk, particularly for economies at the end of long supply chains. Every litre of diesel burned is money leaving the local economy. Electric systems, combined with local renewable generation and battery storage, keep energy spending local and reduce exposure to volatile fuel prices.
Working With the Environment
Care for the Land
Every truck converted and every piece of equipment electrified reduces emissions, noise, and contamination where people live and work. Cleaner depots, quieter worksites, fewer diesel particulates in residential areas.
Across Cultures and Industries
Respect for People
ECVS works across a mix of cultures ranging from Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe. We build relationships on mutual respect, shared goals, and straightforward communication. Good engineering serves everyone, and the best partnerships are built on trust and a genuine interest in solving problems together.
Beyond the Multinationals
Opening the Market
Targeted Solutions
The shift from diesel to electric changes who can participate in the transport and energy economy. Specialist applications need solutions designed for their specific operations.
Regional Operators
Electric creates opportunity for regional enterprises and communities to take greater control of their energy and transport costs. The economics favour those who can combine local generation with local consumption.
Practical Scale
Specialist fleets, equipment at fixed sites, and operations where diesel is the largest operating cost. These are markets that large multinationals cannot easily address.

A Collaborative Approach
Working Together
Whether it is iwi enterprise, regional fleet operators, or international partners, our approach is the same: understand the operation, identify where electric delivers real benefit, and build from there.
