Electric power for body equipment

The ENERVA™ ePTO is a self-contained electric power take-off system: battery pack, motor, controller, and charger in one unit. It replaces the traditional engine-driven hydraulic PTO that powers body equipment on commercial vehicles, from cranes and tippers to compactors and agitators.

This is not just a motor swap. Every ENERVA™ ePTO is built on the same EVNet™ control platform and cloud telematics system used across the EK18 truck and Powered Trailer Kit. It is a complete, connected system with real-time monitoring, diagnostics, and energy management built in.

The result is body equipment that runs quieter, costs less to operate, generates zero on-site emissions, and gives you data you never had before.

Why Electric

The case against hydraulics

Up to 50% energy savings

Electric motors are dramatically more efficient than hydraulic circuits. No parasitic engine load, no energy wasted as heat in hydraulic fluid. The diesel engine stays off while the body works.

Hydraulic & PTO cost offset

Hydraulic systems are expensive: pumps, hoses, valves, fluid, and ongoing servicing. Removing them offsets a significant portion of the ePTO investment. The premium over hydraulic is not as large as it appears.

Battery System

CATL cells, any configuration

ENERVA™ ePTO kits use the same CATL LFP cells as the Powered Trailer Kit, packed into smaller modules that can be configured to fit any application and any available space on the vehicle.

CATL is the world's largest battery manufacturer. LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) chemistry delivers excellent safety, thermal stability, and long cycle life, making it the right choice for daily deep-discharge commercial applications.

Battery capacity is fully configurable: from compact modules for tail lifts and light-duty applications, up to larger packs for high-demand equipment like agitators and compactors. The modular design means battery capacity is matched precisely to your operational needs, not over-specified or under-delivered.

Modular Design

Configured to your application

The ENERVA™ ePTO platform supports a range of motor types matched to the demands of each application. Rotary motors for continuous drive, servo motors for precision positioning, and linear actuators for push/pull applications.

Each system is configured with the right motor, the right battery capacity, and the right control strategy for the job. One platform, many applications.

Charging

Every deployment is different, so charging is configured to suit. Options include AC and DC mains charging, solar panel integration, and alternator charging with a bias to throttle over-run — in other words, regenerative charging that harvests energy from the truck's alternator during deceleration.

We work through each deployment scenario to determine the best charging strategy, whether that is a single source or a combination. The goal is the same every time: the battery is always ready for the next shift, with minimal intervention from the operator.

ENERVA™ eAgitator Kit

The ENERVA™ eAgitator Kit is the largest and most demanding application of the ePTO platform. A complete electric bowl drive for concrete mixer trucks, it cuts fuel by up to 30%, eliminates on-site emissions and noise, and removes hydraulic risk entirely.

Currently under trial with readymix operators, the eAgitator demonstrates that high-performance industrial work can be powered cleanly and efficiently by electricity. It is a proven, production-optimised system built on the same ePTO platform.
